HomeHub

[link to this post]

I am having an intermittent problem with my HomeHub. It suddenly stops working. I cannot get web pages or e-mails or access the hubs home page, however BBTalk is not affected. The only way to get it working is to power down. This is a replacement hub which I have had about 3 weeks. My original hub which had the same "fault" went completely dead, hence replacement. Any ideas anyone. Cheers, Laurie.

I have this issue as well, for the moment it is normal. How often is it locking up?

Are you sure that its the hub? Two identical faults at the same user seems odd as i have not come across one that has failed in service yet. What lights are on? How are you connected to it.?

Yup its the hub, all 5 devices connected to my network stop working until I unplug and reconnect the power.

It happens 2 or 3 times a week but there is no patten, could be more or less.
None of the lights go out. BBTalk carries on working as normal. Last Friday it happened during a BBtalk call but the call was not affected. I use the DECT base station feature to connect my phones ( BT Calypso 1100 ) and both wired and wireless to connect PCs

If BB Talk is working then it suggests that resetting the hub may be resetting something other than the hub too. For instance it will reset your IP address and maybe other things too. It may well be that BT have a problem with their networking services rather than a hardware fault.

I was suspecting hardware fault as Hub's home page is not available when fault occurs.

The Home Hubs Home Page would not be available if you had a LAN problem either.
