bt ripoff - whats going on

since i got bt Business bb over a year ago , ive been connected at 3774kb until last friday when connection said 3774 in router but i was actually getting approx 1mb connection . phoned bt help desk (only took till today to get through) , anyway after a lot of flush cookies and reset router chat, the help desk woman admited that i was now throttles 24/7 to 1mb because off over usage .

my work involves working on large CAD/CAM files which are sent between myself and head office (im disabled and work from home)

how can they do this when im paying for BT Business Total Broadband option 2 and supposed to be on upto 8mb , not permanant 1mb

That's good.....at least you can migrate to an ISP that doesn't throttle you back from 3.7Mbps to 1Mbps 24/7.

Can I ask what amount of gig do you use a month ? I am on the same package as you and average 100-150 gig a month (that includes upload) and I just get throttled in peak times.

If they are limiting you to 1mb all the time that is outrageous , you are well within your rights to be released from your contract !

thats about what i get each month aswell

have had no warning from bt . no emails saying my useage was to much nothing !!!
