I *think* when you migrate to a different ISP, you're BT account is downgraded to pay as you go service, which means you're emails will be active for 90 days or something.
I have just migrated from BT but want to keep my emails, so I am waiting until my account is downgraded then I will go for BT Premium Mail.
You can check if you're account is still active and to see what package you are on by loggin into Bt Yahoo and click on "My Account".

You can keep the account as PAYG for more than 90 days if you dial-up at least once every 90 days

I've done that for just over a year now

That's what I was told.
Did you need to phone up and specifically ask to be moved to PAGY? Or did they do it automatically when you migrated?

You could get Premium Mail for

From what I can make out, its the

"you must log in at least once every 90 days to keep it active"

or something to that effect

I've been using my old BT dial up addresses for about 5 years ...

It is if you use them they will stay active - don't use it and you will loose it.

I was activated with my new ISP on the 26th of this month ( 3 days ago ) and when I sign into BT Yahoo and click on my account, it says I am still on BT Total Broadband Option 3.
Do you know how long it takes until I will be downgraded to PAYG?
Also, what settings will I need to dialup?

I think it will be quite handy, because if I ever have problems with broadband I can use BT's dialup for backup.
