Getting lots of errors in event log with HomeHub

[link to this post]

Hi,
I just started using my HomeHub and I'm getting errors in the event log-
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 4,352

Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [KB/KB]: 64.00 / 45.00

Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 19.5

Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 26.5 / 51.0

SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 21.0 / 15.0

Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / TSTC

Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Link (Remote): 0

Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 1,442

CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 8

HEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 6

With my old NetGear Router(DG834), I never got any errors in the event log. What are FEC Errors? and I also got a faster speed with the NetGear.
The router is plugged into the test socket behind the master, so that rules out my wiring.
Thanks for any help.

Forward Error Correction (FEC) errors are faulty packets which have been automatically corrected at the receiver (by using accompanying checksum data) and you needn't worry about.

CRC are packets which couldn't be corrected and may have had to be retransmitted.

HEC errors are usually already counted within the CRC error.

The number of errors you are getting appear to be insignificant.
