Torrent Download speed

I am quite new to all this torrent download business so I decided to give it a go.
It is 13.09 and I am downloading a torrent at about 20KB/sec I think this speed seems rubbish but do not have experience of faster speeds.Any thoughts??

Could be a few reasons for slow downloads:

1: You have a poorly seeded torrent so you'll never get decent download speeds.

2: If using Azureus then this software works best with port forwarding on a router, if you don
