I'd have to agree with Phantom RJ, I used to be with Metronet, back in the glory days, I only had to speak to them twice, the second call, when answered went along the lines of
"When I rang yesterday, I was speaking to Dave"
"Oh, hang on, he's sat next to me, I'll pass you over"
Newnet were good also.
BTB .... I rang them on the second day of service,
'Where's my Homehub ?'
'There has been a problem, it'll be delivered on Wednesday now' (it came Monday). ' Is there anything else I can help with ?'
'Yes what are the addresses of BT Broadbands DNS servers ?
..on hold..
'192.168.1.254'
'surely thats the IP address of the Home hubs interface ?
'thats correct'
the home hub I have just told you I haven't received yet'
..silence..
so what are the DNS servers IP addresses ?
..5 minutes on hold..
'It's OK sir, BT Broadband doesn't use DNS'
......click.
If it weren't free
