However, since my Home Hub firmware got updated to 6.2.6.E it seems to be working the other way - not that I'm complaining of course, just curious.
When it restarted after the update it synched at ~2900. A couple of weeks later, it dropped the line and reconnected at ~3800. It has kept this connection up for about a couple of months (had to tell due to the bug in 6.2.6.E that causes the counters to run backwards) but this morning it dropped the connection - and reconnected at 4576
One other thing I've noticed since the update to 6.2.6.E is that it is holding the connection for much longer - more reliable than it used to be.
So, has anything changed or is this just a fluke? Or maybe BT has updated the equipment in the exchange (there are a lot of new houses being built round here so maybe they've had to add extra capacity?).
