Just Joining BT

When I signed up to Tiscali and was told i would get 6mb since being with tiscali I have only been getting 1mb so I have now left tiscali, and will be joining BT on friday.

BT have told me that my line would support 5MB, will I get this sort of speed or am i waisting my time.

Because i have seen that for a extra �90 BT can guarantee to improve your broadband from 0.5mb upwords. Am i just being conned, will I receive approx 5Mb, or will I get a low speed from BT, in the hope that I will pay the extra �90 to improve my speed.

Impossble to say without more information on your line. Do you know how to get line stats from your connection (attenuation, line rate , noise magin)?

I have no idea can you help
