For the last few days I've been unable to access a large number of my normal daily web sites. Google, BBC and many of the other major sites are fine, but there are lots which I haven't been able to access for 2-3 days (e.g. www.ebuyer.com, www.lifehacker.com, www.hotukdeals.com, www.metoffice.gov.uk,...).
A tracert for all of the problem sites shows exactly the same output (see the example below). I made the fatal mistake of phoning the BT Broadband helpdesk in Calcutta, and after the obligatory hour of failing to assist me they had the cheek to transfer me to the BT Home IT Support Desk (a paid service), but assuring me that I would NOT be charged for the service. The guy from the Home IT Support desk told me that "they lied to ya", and that I would indeed be charged....
Anyway - here's the tracert. Does anyone have ANY idea how to get anyone at BT to look into this sort of problem???
