Very poor line rate

[link to this post]

I moved house and got BT to install a new phone line which they did on the 29th July, and broadband option 3 was to be activated on friday 1st August. I decided to install my router as soon as the phone line had been installed and my broadband was already activated but since then here are the stats. Stats are good compared to my last broadband but the line rate is dire:

Line Mode G.DMT Line State Show Time
Latency Type Fast Line Up Time 00:00:25:01
Line Coding Trellis On Line Up Count 1

Statistics Downstream Upstream
Line Rate 128 Kbps 64 Kbps
Noise Margin 30.0 dB 30.0 dB
Line Attenuation 56.0 dB 30.5 dB
Output Power 10.4 dBm 10.1 dBm

An engineer came out to install my broadband on the 1st Aug and told him about this. And he said he couldn't do anything cause BT weren't my phone line supplier .... which they are!!! - he said I had to wait 5 days and if it didn't improve to report a fault. He tried my 2091 router and the new homehub 2 ... just the same. So am having to pay for an engineer that done absolutely nothing!!!! I reported a fault also with BT Broadband .... they said the usual ... wait 10 days until my line is stable ... now a know my line rate should go up and down in the 1st 10 days ... but my router never loses sync and the line rate never goes up or down like the 1st time I got Max!

Read this thread as you seem to have the same issue.
Unfortunately the answer lies with your ISP getting BT Wholesale to deal with it.
