BT almost made me stay

Well I decide to get my code to move to BE*, I emailed BT and got my MAC within 24 hours they also offered a good insentive to stay, lower my price from £24 to £15/month and send a free 2.0 hub&phone. (had to sign a new 12month contract)

Im only moving to BE for the faster ADSL2, not had no issues with BT, 18 months of smooth sailing, I did have to spend a good few days thinking about after this offer.

Well I though if not for BEs' 3 months free I would of stayed with BT.

Just thought Id post a positive thread about BT for once =D

You wait till you get to Be - the difference is amazing, and not just the speed.

(As you think you will get more that's just a bonus, getting away from profiles and throttling is the best bit . Or profiles and allowances in my case as I was on Newnet, though I have gained about 2.3Mbps actual download by tweaking without having to worry about the profile effect).

The thing is, BT is a solid performer and reliable. The only thing that ever bugged me (during three years of contract) was the tiring uphill battles on the rare occasions when things did go wrong. Only twice did I need to contact customer services to resolve a poor service issues and on each occassion it was a deeply troubling, frustrating experience that fully tested my anger-management techniques!!!

I would always recommend BT to friends if only on the basis of pure reliability from my personal perspective and experience. I am still switching to 02 though lol...
