Home Hub Firmware update Dec 2009

[link to this post]

My Home Hub 2 (black) has received it's firmware update on Tuesday morning - Firmware version 8.1.H.J (Type A). As before I've had to reactivate the BT Fon service on the hub. The last time this happened my hub was updated in around 36 hours. As of today the hub hasn't been updated yet. I would like to know from other people who's hub has been updated and before I report a problem. If they have had any problems with the hub taken over 48 hours to activate the Fon service.

I'm going to leave it over the weekend before I investigate it more.

Thanks

I've only been with BT for a couple of weeks. Black hub.

My version though is:

Hub Firmware Information
Current firmware 4.7.5.1.83 (Type B)

Mine got updated to 8.1.H.J in November. I don't use Fon so I can't comment on that but the update did drop my IPProfile so I had the usual week of shouting at BT customer 'services' to get back to my usual blisteringly fast 1Mb/s - consequently I'd believe the problem is down to BT.

Does anyone know if there are plans for the next update to restore network access to the USB port?

Restoring some form of stable access would be nicer...

Fine for browsing but jitter and loss rates are through the roof - which for mumble another udp based voice clients isn't particularly helpful...
