What has happened to bt care? Hope they haven't been chopped!

In the past they've responded positively to probs posted here and tried to be helpful. But I posted a query to them on Tuesday and haven't had any response.

They seem to be active enough on the BT Care twitter account

http://twitter.com/BTCare

They are online in the forum right now

The mods there seem to be "one thread or two short of a full forum" (in the "voucher short of a toaster" way)

It looks like people are not welcome to the BT Care forum unless they don't say nice things about BT. The fact that they might have provided a lot of peer to peer friendly support and advice to other customers in the past is not considered beneficial enough. If the forum member continues to dig deeper and asks questions that BT don't have an answer for, then the member is threatened or banned.

And in another oddity, the "Popular" threads are being "fixed". These are the threads voted for by members and displayed in a league table. The popular ones amongst the forum members were the interesting ones like one covering the subject of a process BT has to upgrade firmware on customer routers without the customer selecting for it to happen etc.

Seriously, the actual Mods themselves are ramping the votes for the threads they want to see at the top of the list. One thread was showing ONLY mods (4 of them) voting for a thread, whilst the actual BT customer members had not and had actually voted for the more interesting thread.

Anyone remember StopPhoulPlay.com? Looks like BT care forum is heading the same way LOL.
