I am asking this on behalf of my sister. She has a BT Business Hub for her holiday flats. She tells me the connection keeps cutting out at least once a day, so she has to go to the hub and pull the power out, then put it back in. When the connection cuts out the Internet light is red, when working it is green. When this happens the PC says it is connected to a hub but it has no internet connection. This is always solved by the above method.
Supposedly it usually happens twice or three times a day, but happens at least once. When my sister rang the helpline she was told it was probably just the wireless dropping out as these things happen. But it can't be, as the connection never gets revived unless powered off and then on again, and also the PC connected to the hub via a wire (the one that sits beside it) also loses connection.
The hub has a wireless Trendnet N range router connected to it, as my sister's place is quite a distance from the reception where the main hub is. But it is the main BT hub that goes red when the connection goes. It is only the bottom light that goes red (the internet one).
Any advice or help ? Thanks.
