I switched to BTInternet , mainly to get a faster connection. Up till then I was getting 2Mb at best, with no possibility of a faster connection unless I moved my phone contract.
BT offered up to 5Mb, but I have never seen more than 2.9Mb even at off peak times.
But the real problem is that it quite often takes an age to open a page (about a minute, sometimes failing with a reset connection). Not always, but quite often. I also find that downloading large files (>100MB) basically never works - FireFox behaves as if the file downloaded correctly (no messages) but the file is truncated.
I had a reasonably reliable set up before. All I did was swap out my previous router for the BT hub. The wireless signal from the hub seems a bit weaker than the old router.
Is there anything I should check before calling BT, in case it is a problem at my end?
