BT FON sign up help

[link to this post]

Hi,

I had Infinity installed yesterday and I now want to sign up for BT FON. The sign up process is looking for my BT email address, however nothing is recognised. My address that I was provided with was a***.***[email protected] however this does not work. I have tried the forgot password option, but again it says this address does not exist.

Any ideas where I can find my BT Internet user name and password???

Hi Andylong42

The username and password needed would be your primary email address and its password.

If you are not aware of the details can you send me an email to [email protected] with your bt account number and link to this thread.

Cheers

If it's anything like my sister's experience when she went to BT 2 or 3 years ago, they managed to get 3 spelling mistakes in her primary email address - and her name only has a total of 12 letters!

The only way they could fix it was to create a second email address with the correct spelling. She'd asked me to do the migrate for her and was there setting it all up. Must have taken 3 hours or more, much of the time spent on the phone to BT support.

Maybe patience is a virtue, tried again over the weekend and it now accepts my email address and password that I created initially. Still waiting for my hub to be enabled for BT FON, however I believe is updated at some point remotely.
