Re: Ping has just went uo for no reason?

i cant find an old tracert, it definately pinged 10ms on every tracert done all the way to hop 5 or6. now it pings 20ms. my router has been synced solid for a good few months, crc errors are very low, my connection has always been brilliant, i am still on fastpath.

i think something has changed recently at hop 2 21 ms 20 ms 20 ms 217.41.167.58 might be regional (midlands) or national?

i thought id come here and see if anyone else had the same problem, sounded like the op may have? no point phoning my isp they wouldnt understand or know what to do lol

unlucky being on sky adsl.. no fastpath means your ping is double what its capable of and playing games on a 15ping is much more responsive. i read somewhere they will let you adjust "max delays" interleaving depth to 8, maybe ask them for 2 or 4 lol

Doesn't create "instability".

It can stabilise already dodgy lines a tad but you can't use reverse logic. The two aren't related like that.

And given your line stats it wouldn't make a pick of difference, apart from halving your pings.
