Well "n" should perform better but in our house the range from any router we've had is dismal....barely reaches up the stairs. Maybe we live in a nuclear bunker cunningly disguised as a regular home.

I noticed FTTC is coming to my exchange this year. I want to move beyond the 2Mbps upload limit on my current connection with Be (ADSL 2+ Annex M). We move a lot of large files around - graphics, movies and audio editing - are BT likely to throttle uploads in the GBs? SFTP is generally the protocol we use to exchange these files between Macs and Servers over the internet.
