BT Home Hub 2 Dynamic DNS multiple hosts

Hi

I've got Dynamic DNS to work with a single host but now I've created two dynamic hosts on DynDNS and I want both to be updated. I've clicked 'Yes' for multiple hosts, added the second hostname and clicked Apply. All this does is to reset the Mulitple Hosts back to No and my second hostname is removed. Is there a method to get this to work?

I've never found a way to make this stick.

As a workround I use different service names, on my purchased domain, eg,

www.domainname.co.uk
photos.domainname.co.uk
files....

and then forward these to different port numbers on the DynDNS domain,

www.domainname.dyndns.org:80
www.domainname.dyndns.org:8081
www.domainname.dyndns.org:8082
etc

and then use port forwarding on the router to push these to the correct device on the LAN.

Bit of a fiddle, but it works.

I've just found that there is - buy a Version B, it supports multiple DynDNS properly. I've just configured one here and DynDNS shows both domains updating properly.

Touch annoying that it syncs 500k lower, that's two profile steps for me! So, I'm now left with a choice,

Low sync but multiple DNS hosts (not essential) and Broadband Talk Echo cured.

Better sync.

I may yet be putting the Type A back.

Edit - Update on Echo. Seems fixed.

Thanks for the reply. I'd rather hoped there was a cheaper way to do this, such as a firmware upgrade.

Cheaper? I bought an almost-new Type B for £3 off eBay.
