BT Homehub Port Forwarding Messages

Hi folks,

Every minute or so on my HH3 I get this message:

Port forwarding rule added via UPnP. protocol: UDP, external ports: any->56871, internal ports: 56871, internal client: 192.168.1.65

Anyone know what's happening here? Initially I thought it was due to a P2P program I was using called Nicotine+ but it still happens when Nicotine+ isn't running.

I know if I turned off UPnP it would go away but I'd like to know why it's happening in the first place....

Looks like some program running on the device with the IP ending .65 is trying to forward those ports.

It seems this Nicotine program you speak of uses ports in a different range (somewhere in the 2000's) so it's doubtful to be the culprit as you say.

Couldn't really find much related to ports 56871.

Next time it's happening I'll try the Netstat command to see what's happening.
