Very tempted to make the switch from sky to inifinity, just not sure how bad the throttling is.
What is their traffic management like? When does it kick in? How much is it slowed down? What does it affect, torrents, http/ftp, newsgroups?
p2p and torrents from aprox 3pm to midnightish weekdays forget about it, newsgroups are throttled to around 2meg on my line remember im on adsl max and not infinity but the throttle protocol will be unicversal sat and sunday p2p and torrents start to be throttled from around 9am

I'm surprised you still have an internet connection, would have thought all ISP's would have disconnected you by now if that is how you plan to use a residential broadband package.
Just because you've got mains water do you leave all the taps on all the time?
Just because you've got gas do you leave the heating on all the time even in summer?
You will see traffic shaping increasing on such protocols as P2P as take up increases of BT FTTC product .
So what your getting away with now , you wont get away with in the future .
This thread should be put into a museum , as a exhibit of why unlimited can never be unlimited as there is always one that will ruin it for everyone else , just because they can .
And why do you think utilities are metered? Because it costs more and people took advantage!
The internet is the 4th utility and soon enough it will all be metered due to the way some people continue to try and download the whole internet. I can't think of anything legal that would require the bandwidth some people are now using.
It depends how fairly you use P2P & torrent which dictates how much throttling takes place. Many people download consistently & upload zilch which would definitely attract throttling.
