I've asked a few pertinent questions - what is his sync/bandwidth, what was he d/ling (as in P2P, usenet, encrypted, or ftp/http transfers), and how much did he estimate in total.
And what are the answers ? There is, I believe, no limit on the BT Infinity Option 2 package but it is still almost certainly subject to some sort of FUP.
Personally, I think your friend's brother probably got what he deserved.
Interesting - if I am not logged in your post shows you as "Ian Stirling, BT Infinity" - is that your ISP, or you do work for BT Infinity? The answer is extremely relevant.
Anyway - given I only posted the message a few hours ago, I have no idea - I haven't had an answer yet. But I am intrigued as to the comment "got what he deserved."
Really? What did he deserve: the package that is ADVERTISED by BT? The service he PAID for? (Option 2 - the allegedly unlimited bandwidth plan)
Or did he deserve to be throttled - if so, why? Why should we not use the bandwidth available?
