Are BT still upgrading exchanges to adsl2+?

Or are they just rolling out FTTC now?

If they are not rolling out ADSL2 anymore then what chance do people in small towns/villages stand at getting faster than 8mb broadband?

Don't hold your breath; my exchange has been ADSL2+ / 21CN for over a year, but BT won't 'upgrade' me to ADSL2+. I even took part in the beta program, so i know that there are benefits. I only want the enhanced upload speed; that's not too much too ask is it? As a 'village' user, I get very frustrated with the constant whinging from Infinity customers who complain about only getting 12Mb; FYI, I pay the same as everybody else, but get 3Mb at best.

Sorry for the rant, but I feel that BT is completely ignoring the customers on long lines, whilst giving the people with reasonable speed even faster speeds.

I live in a small city but get just over 4Megabits tops, so think your self lucky

Not that I am bothered, 4Megabits is more than enough for me

8mb here but its the upload thats the problem

4 people all using the net at the same time and... well it slows to a crwal

what about a bit of traffic mangement on the router. Make sure you are on the larger pipe
