My Modem is broke and I REALLY need to use the internet HELP

Hi

I have BT Infinity.

The white openreach modem has broke, it will not power on at all, My home hub is still fine and working.

I have phone BT twice now who are arranging a replacement from an engineer, but this has gone on for 3 days now and still no visit arranged.

Does anyone know where I can just go and buy a BT Openreach Modem or know of a product I can buy in its place to temporary access my infinity?
Any help would be great!

Search the Fibre Broadband forum over the last 6 months for Fritz. They seem to work reasonably. Cost you though!

Does the power light come on? If not, I assume you have tried replacing the fuse in the plug?

There is no power light coming. I have tried with a different lead and power socket. It's definatly the modem that is the problem

How are you posting this if you have no Internet connection? Mobile?

My Modem died within days of being installed. BT/OR sent an Engineer out the next day to replace it. Well satisfied.
