Infinity and static IP

I'm with O2 at the minute, and whilst my IP isn't "static" I've kept the same IP for 2 years. Prior to that I've been with ISPs where it changes every time you disconnect. It's not a massive deal but I was wondering whether people noticed theirs stayed the same generally or they do change every time you lose connection.

BT will change everytime you reconnect - they're not sticky at all.

You'd probably need a business service for a static.

I don't have a need for it really, just curious. Dynamic DNS will take care of the rest I think.

Definitely NO stickiness with BT IP addresses. Even a resync can result in a new IP.

But statics are available on BT Business.

Hmm not entirely true in my experience.

Usually the IP changes but not every time.
