BT Infinity ... downloads slower than uploads?

Hi

Well, after 5 days of speeds being 37.5megs on ethernet, and up to 19 megs via wireless links, I am now seeing 2.5 - 4.0 megs download and 4.5 megs upload.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Using various speed testers ... BT lite shows 2.5 to 4.7 this very moment in time (19:32)

Surely my FTTC connection shoud not vary that much???

Can you go through the normal speedtester and see what your IP Profile is.

Hi just done the BT test ...


Profile down is 38710 and up 10000

I got 7896 down and 7025 up this time ... a little better, but not something to shout about ...

@R, yeah, I thought about that ... dunno ... don't watch telly much ...

When I did some consecutive tests using the BT Lite tester, then on a few occassions it came up with a speed of ZERO ...

I can see the whole thing being slowed down by streaming etc ... but to have it sit at ZERO for 30 seconds or more does not seem quite right to me. All the 3 green leds on the modem were on, and the HH3 was all code BLUE.
