BT Home Hub 3 - Type B -- Wireless issues

Is there a known problem with the BT Home Hub TYPE B which a friend has just received. It seems to behave differently to my Type A Hub.

The Default Wireless mode is WPA + WPA2 and is set on both Hubs. Whereas my Type A will show its SSID and both the BT Openzone and BT Fon SSIDs, the Type B will only show the UNSECURED BT Fon SSID.

Strangely, the Type B's SSID shows on an Android Tablet and connects easily.

I have seen on the BT Community Forum, a suggestion that setting the Wireless Security Mode to WPA only will circumvent this problem.

Has anybody else seen this issue?

Have seen the HH3 behave oddly with wireless devices, playing around with the WPA/WPA2 did seem to help

Do you know whether this behaviour is only found on the Type B?

I will try restricting it to WPA only. I am also going to try his line on a HH2 Type A which I have kicking around in my Toy-box.
