It can take a time for the reset request to percolate through the system; and then a bit more time for it to dawn on the DLM system and your equipment that the reset has happened. I had an engineer visit for a perfectly good line after profile issues (as have many other people, what a waste or resources) and it took quite a time before the effect finally manifested itself on my speeds. (Engineer visit, 2nd July 11:30, improvement first seen early morning 4th July). I think it sometimes needs a router reboot (or disconnect/connect) for the change to get properly noticed.
Maybe you'll wake up tomorrow to find faster broadband and a dead squirrel lying on the ground under your tree.
