Infinity1/2 downgrade/upgrade

[link to this post]

My cab just started taking orders today. And Ive just placed an order for 80/20 without realising there was a cheaper 40/10 product.

Checker says Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 39.9Mbps and upstream line speed of 6.5Mbps.

Im 350m from the Cab. Though if they routed it the stupid way could be 650m.

If after BT install 80/20 and my speed is slower than 40/10 can I downgrade the service?

And the reverse if I cancel the order and place one for 40/20 can I then upgrade (at higher cost)?

The cheaper one has a 40GB usage allowance.
