So, Im leaving BT for TalkTalk LLU to get 24mb ADSL.
But since then, every other day we have been getting mail and telephone calls with BT either trying to get me to join up or re-join.
Its driving me nuts!
Id stay, I really would but since BT cant give us 24mb yet its bye bye.
One woman said I could get fiber soon! Witch is nuts as we live in a small village with the exchange only serving 1.8k people.

Probably is nuts, but I understand that sometimes they bring fibre to a cabinet from a different exchange then the copper comes from, so might not be.
Remember the TalkTalk llu will be an 'up to' figure. Unless you are very close to that small exchange, it will be less, maybe much less.

Moved (with trepidation) to BT Infinity 2 for upload speed. Happy BE user for several years.

Tell them to remove your no. from marketing calls or you will report them to the TPS.
Even if you are an existing customer, they can only phone you about your existing product if you have opted out of marketing calls.

I would have thought that with a small exchange serving 1,800 lines FTTC was more likely the TT unbundling?
If it isnt unbundled then the ability to deliver ADSL2+ is totally dependant on BT having 21C broadband in place.
Have you confirmed that TT have unbundled the exchange?
Ex <n>ildram , been to SKY MAX - 15,225 Download
BE Unlimited - 21,000 Download 1,200 Upload ON THE LINE THAT SKY COULD ONLY PROVIDE 15,255 DOWN AND 800 UP ON!!!,
Moved house, now BE Unlimited 6,500 Down, 1Mb/s up - gutted!
FTTC Cab installation commenced 12th April - expect full 80 / 20 - bye bye BE, hello BT Infinity, install date Friday 10th August!

TT coverage for LLU is at the ~93% mark, so getting harder to find people who cannot get it.
FTTC is at the 30 to 40% range currently

Easy enough for me to do. My parents (and the other 500 houses on their exchange) can't get it.

TT's full LLU pricing is very attractive but have you also considered a reseller who can offer partial LLU?

I know - twas a little gentle teasing - and what is difficult to some can be very easy for others. But I do agree with the sentiment - it's just that as usual 7% seems a massive amount when you are in it (not that I would ever let my parents move to TT unless it was via wholesale).

I did not know there was re-sellers untill a few days after i ordered with talk talk but id rather go directly with TT than via a re-seller tbh

I hope it all goes well then, because TT customer service is worse than BT if that is possible.

Got my BT Bill today.
Despite them knowing im leaving them as of tomorrow they still sent me a bill to cover the next months service... that I wont have...
I gave them a call and the billing team had no idea that I was leaving.
She had to go and talk to cancellations to check that they knew.
She then came back and told me what I already knew... Im moving to a new ISP tomorrow.
Was told to ignore this bill and a new one will be sent within 30days of my switch over.
Sound right to you guys?
I just dont want to not pay this and end up with BT some how interfering with my new service with TT

When dealing with BT these days I always ask for a text confirmation regarding any issues with accounts - several times I've been told to ignore a demand for a payment and after some time that same payment has been demanded again.
Only by speaking to the manager/supervisor has the issue been resolved and the evidence of a text message can be invaluable. BT don't seem able to send revised bills and it was only by agreement with the manager/supervisor that aspects of billing errors, as a result of possible misunderstandings, were eventually sorted.

That's correct as the service has not yet ended and you might change your mind. Makes sense and they'll then make the credits once you've left and issue a cheque if you're owed anything - and unlike some, they do this automatically.
