Speed

Just got connected to BT broadband option 3 which is unlimited download today. I have tried downloading a tv show which I do a lot and usually pretty fast but today it took me about 3 hours, seems to be very slow at downloading. Is it because its my first connection day? I have done a speedtest which says:

Download 12.3Mbps Upload 0.87

Is there something wrong to have the upload so low?

What do the results from www.speedtester.bt.com look like, especially the reported IP profile ?

If you are on ADSL not Infinity, then that is a typical upload speed.

Moved (with trepidation) to BT Infinity 2 for upload speed. Happy BE user for several years.

How are you downloading

If torrent then that's the issue.
