Home Hub 2 Needs Reset Every Few Hours

Hi, I'm on Option 3 unlimited using a Home Hub 2.

For the past fortnight my uTorrent download speed slows to 2 or 3 kb/ps every 24 hours or so and I have to reset the Home Hub, after which it returns to normal.

Today, I've had to reset it every couple of hours to get a decent download speed.

The upload speed is unaffected by this problem.

I've tried disconnecting the modem for 10 minutes to get a new IP but it hasn't helped.

Any diagnoses and/or suggestions?

P2P is throttled by BT.

It's always been throttled but this behaviour has only started very recently.

IIRC this is a long-standing problem. Cured by firmware updates?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Connection - Plusnet Extra Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.0/13.9Mbps @ 600m.

Yes, I felt it was the HH3, but it sounds remarkably similar. Maybe irrelevant though frown.

Try a different router
or
force encryption in utorrent
or
hack the modem
