How do I find out my btinternet email address?

I've had BT Broadband a couple of days, but BT is being a bit mysterious about my btinernet email address. Apparently, I need this to access WiFi hotspots. I logged into mybt tonight and was expecting to find it somewhere obvious (i.e. under My Extras), but no such luck.

Did you not get some form of written order confirmation (or on the BT Web, whilst the order was going through)? It will be on that!

Setup was done over the phone. I've had two letters from BT. One for Direct Debit, and the other a welcome letter. Neither have this information.

Also, jus checking through my tabs on Chrome, I noticed a previous login to MyBt, with a whole load of extras that are not there now smile. Time to give them a call, i think.

The email address not present in My BT. You choose it when signing up, and it's confirmed by email on activation day.

However, that is only true for online signups, I have no idea what the order process is over the phone or even if that route provides an email address by default. Calling would be my suggestion too.

Well, that's sorted. It took half an hour on the phone to BT's call centre. Even though the Home Hub 4 is all connected up, and giving us speeds between 11 and 12 mbps, BT's first response was an automated "We haven't completed your order blah blah blah".

Might be worth trying live chat in future, although there is often a queue on that too, it might be easier to do other stuff whilst waiting.

Unlimited Broadband (up to 16mbps).
