BT Shareholders Offers

Online there is a great Broadband Offer for BT Shareholders - Unlimited BT Infinity 2 (up to 76Mb) plus Anytime calls for £21 per month.
The only trouble is that the Link does not work, either it just stops or directs one to the normal BT Broadband Offers. It is current as it clearly also states BT Sport now included.
Have spent hours on the phone to a dozen odd BT staff, I have got nowhere as no one has heard of it!
Has anyone signed up to this Offer and if so how did they do it? Any help appreciated.

Go to the BT shareholders' site (https://www.btplc.com/Sharesandperformance/Shareholders/Shareholderoffers/index.htm), click on "BT Total broadband deal" and it's the second offer down. I haven't clicked through further because I took up this deal last time it was offered.

BT have offered a shareholder discount on broadband for years - I suspect the link is broken and will be fixed, rather than the offer having expired

As thats anytime calls and infinity 2 plus the voucher it is a pretty good deal for those that qualify

Do they actually check that you are a shareholder? What happens if you sell your shares once you have taken out the offer? Is there a minimum shareholding?

It now works. I took up their offer today. I needed to re-contract soon and this is a reasonable saving compared to their "normal" infinity 2 price. They also offer inclusive anytime calls so for me it is a winner. I will be getting BT sport via youview which I was excluded from due to my earlier contract so had to watch online.

Still trying! I took the course of writing to BT, this way I could send them a copy of the Offer.

A nice Lady, Michaela in Northern Ireland rang in response and agree the Link did not work but she would sort it out so I got the terms shown.
Three weeks later I am still waiting, she does ring every other day to appologise for the delay and explain their internal problems.
So still in the air but I am hopeful, Michaela sound very determind!

BT Infinity 1 + Calls £15
Unlimited BT Infinity 1 + Calls £20
Unlimited BT Infinity 2 + Calls £20

All listed with unlimited weekend calls

None of the three offered options offer me £21 with included anytime calls. Grr.

I tried the online chat and they said it must be a system error and to call on monday and do it over the phone. Hmm.

It is a pretty good deal if you are going to get the anytime call package anyway. Especially if you are on an expensive telephone exchange like me. If you are on a cheaper offer telephone exchange its a bit less exceptional as you can get cheaper line rental and call packages from other companies and fibre for £19.99 as well.

Still progress inching that bit closer...

Has anyone answered this curious as to how many shares etc you need to quality and cant seem to find details on the BT site.

Agree the Link works partially now but I also get the terms you quote which does not include Anytime calls. I am hoping Michaela can do the trick.
It is the best Offer by far if you want BT Sports as with anyone else you must add £12 to their terms to get this.

My son is a shareholder & I managed to renew my infinity contract online. Got the reduced price plus since the contract is for 12 months I have saved 3 months from my old 18 month contract (only had it for 3 months).
Also, not at anytime during the order process did it ask me to confirm that I was a shareholder. Does that mean that anyone can use the link or does it do a check on my home address to see if there are shareholders there?

you need one share in BT to quallify for shareholder discounts. That is about £3.50 for the share and perhaps £15 in dealing costs so around £20 to get the deal.

(It costs less to trade shares if you are a frequent trader but to just buy shares once is quite expensive. Watch out I don't know if having them in a nominee account or an isa counts, its hard to know, so idealy try and own a share outright. Does anyone ever check?)
