The links in My BT just seem to shunt people to the links you gave previously, and it asks for a phone number and postcode even when logged in.
No, it doesn't for me. When logged in to MyBT, it has phone # (& account) already filled in and no mention of postcode (unless you select someone else's #), thus:

# I confirm that I am the account holder
whereas the public screen gives only:
Phone number * ___________
Postcode * ______________
Don't know postcode?
# I confirm I am the account holder
i.e. the 'enter the details of another phone line' of the logged in one.
Also with the logged-in one you don't need to confirm you are the account holder.

Notice the additional word 'that' in the logged-in confirmation.
EDIT: I thought from our other discussion on QLT that you are on Sky, so won't have a MyBT login.
