Youview and Asus N66U

Does anyone have experience of using the Asus with BT Youview? I am aware there are issues with some routers with the streaming and am considering getting the Asus but don't want to if it doesn't work with the BT TV packages.

BT TV packages and the IP streaming element normally needs QoS support in the router, hence why it only works with BT made devices since they've added the triggering to turn on/off the QoS

O, in that case I'll be sticking with the BT homehub then - no point in wasting money on something that won't work.

Just installed BT Youview with extra channels and works well with Azus N66U. Just change WAN setting "Enable VPN + DHCP connection" from yes to no and save.

Interesting to know. Just to double check this is the paid for content like their movie streams and not the standard catch-up services you are referring to?

Do not have access to the Sky Channels, only the extra channels like History that are streamed by BT in standard and HD. Only had operational since yesterday but all extra streamed channels work very well- you would not know they are streamed.

does it work for the bt sport channels? (which I think are delivered via multicast on infinity)

History uses the same multicast technology, so yes.
