You can opt-out of CGN, see http://btsupport.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_i...

Yes i knew that , but what percent of affected customers where opted out compared to those using CGN , also did this or does this also affect bt business customers too ?

It has to be BT at fault here, because there doesn't appear to be other ISP 's affected , it wasn't Tinet peering as some where pointing blame at, and i can't see how it would be ubisoft's side, because again it would have affected lots of others from different isp's not only here in the uk but other countries too

Unfortunately ubi doesn't know it's a form it's elbow they never have and never will do,
and as if like you say they admitted responsibility why are some BT customers still having the same issues, peering was changed , Im not a BT customer but can access Ubisoift uplay, log in to their forums browse their corporate web site, login/authenticate onto the games sever , but due to this DDos scrubbing nonsense that they implemented yesterday or their servers have been having lots of brain wind resulting in loyal gamers loosing connection several times in the space of a few hrs , this has been happening regularly for the past 5 yrs , again ubi have never fixed this like they never fix their broken console ported games

In reply to a post by MHC:
So as6453.net does not have a direct Montreal to NY link and use one via their data centre in Chicago ... nothing wrong with that just as you say nothing wrong with Cornish traffic being routed via London - companies make a commercial decision based on volumes, cost and infrastructure and that is what they offer.
Oh but they do have a direct Montreal .New york link just for some dumb reason they stopped using it for traffic to ubisoft that has traffic that is sensitve to latency going to & from it, the Chigago link was getting congested at times resulting in even higher latency ands greater fluctuation /Jitter as well as some packet loss , which wasn't a regular thing on the drirect route , Ubi probably wanting to save money
