Just thought I'd ask and if there are how's the service and support ?
The BT's own business forum is very quite..
Thanks

I think the poster MHC is one.

I would rate both at 9/10
Support is 24hour UK based and never an issue when speaking with them. If they are overloaded you get routed to Res Support - with priority, it happened once but easy enough to redial.

Thanks - I'm torn between BT ( currently a residential customer ) and PlusNet.
Both seem to have pro and cons..
Both are going to be easy enough to move to.
Reading the Plusnet forums does put me off a bit, but reading the BT residential posts, it reads very similar.
I do like that PlusNet will allow P2P at full speed any time, where as BT cap it heavily at night.
Hmm which way to go

Which BT product? And compared with which Plusnet product?
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

On BT I'm currently on the residential BT Infinity 2 which has P2P capping at night.
The 2 products I'm looking at are:
BT
Infinity for Business option 2, upgraded with Static IP & Unlimited Usage
PlusNet
Unlimited Business Fibre Broadband
Both with Enhanced Care on the Fibre.
Thanks

The latest BT packages have no traffic management at all.

Is that BT Business packages?

P2P is slowed on BT Business, so the OP might be best off considering the latest residential offerings unless static IP address is a necessity.

Based on the subject and postings, it seems to me that the OP is looking at Business offerings.

If the OP wasn't aware, the fact that the latest residential offerings are not traffic managed they may mean they are an now an option whereas they weren't previously.
Edit: if it's because the line is used for business then fair enough.
Oliver.

He is however also talking about "Enhanced Care" for the FTTC.

Yeah.
I wouldn't have described BT's business forums as very quiet as the OP did: https://business.forums.bt.com/t5/Broadband-and-inte...

Hi
Thanks for the replies.
I am looking for a Business Fibre Product.
My current residential contract does limit P2P at night and weekends. I could have re contracted for a new 18month period to get no traffic management but didn't need it.
Now I work from home full time, so need a static IP and enhanced care on the fibre.
My contract with BT expires on the 10th April so I have a bit of time to sort this. If I move to BT Business I can move now with no fees.. I'd have to wait to move to PlusNet. Both seem to offer the same type of product it's just how the traffic management works.
If the BT Product is going to be the same and have fast P2P during the day and restrict it at nights and weekends thats fine.
The PlusNet package suggests it only limited if I'm doing something else with a higher priority on my network.
Thanks for any advice offered

BT Business traffic management. Looks like the stated times, plus things like the Olympics or Apple IOS releases.

Thanks. Wondering how this relates to real world usage and if PlusNet would work out any better.
Cost is virtually the same so no issue there. All comes down to traffic management and ongoing support.

I can't easily find anything on the Plusnet site that distinguishes between residential and business regarding traffic management.

Looks to be the same as residential Unlimited apart from the 'other' category being classed as Gold plated instead of Silver.
Also no rate limits.
Link.

From this and gmoorc's post, it looks very much a toss of the coin decision on the technical side then. I don't think you'll go far wrong with either.
