I have no choice for broadband as I live in a rural area, so I have BT and get about 2.5-3Mb download speeds.
As I have two growing kids, this is becoming less and less viable. I was looking at Satellite but before I go down that route (I am aware of the lagging issues), I thought I would try and speed up what I already have.
I have a HH4 so the only stats I believe I can get are as follows (from the HH4 Event log)
17:30:55, 28 Apr. ( 76.250000) DSL noise margin: 19.00 dB upstream, 6.30 dB downstream
17:30:55, 28 Apr. ( 76.110000) DSL line rate: 448 Kbps upstream, 3616 Kbps downstream
I am thinking of getting a Billion 7800DXL as it allows SNR tweaking however I am not sure how much I could tweak this connection.
So the question is, based on the limited info available, will the Billion provide enough of a boost to be worth the cost (£130ish) ? Or... am I getting as good as I can get ?
Thanks in advance
Matt
