Thought I'd sign up for the BT TV services for £5 a month (ADSL2+ customer) and get a free YouView+ box for the bedroom. But when going through the order it says I already have BT Services.
Seems to go through if I don't select BT Sport (I have these on SKY) - but then get charged £35 for home install - which I don't want! Can you have BT Sports on SKY and YouView+ box?
Any ideas??

Seems like you have fallend through one of the many cracks in their online ordering system. An order over the telephone should have better succes.
The £35 home install fee is standard (if a rip off) charge for not sure what exactly, but no way to avoid it.
You can always view BT Sports in the bedroom using the free (to subscribers) online service on a computer or tablet or phone, connected to the bedroom TV if you like.

i thought BT didn't offer YV to ADSL customers and you had to take infinity to get it, the old BT vision was available but YV wasn't or has something changed in the last few week

You can get Youview you just can't get the IP channels - and you pay extra for those anyway.

I believe you can only get BT Sport free on either Sky or Youview, not both. Not sure what happens if you are cancelling Sky to get Youview as I didn't have BT Sports so wasn't affected when I did that.

No intention of cancelling SKY, as have that in lounge. I want the YouView+ box for the bedroom as we only have a non-smart freeview TV in there.
I got a reply from BTCare saying I can have both so long as the YouView+ is ordered through them and not purchased off eBay/high street.
Will phone an order through tonight.

That's good news then, I was sure their Ts&Cs only allowed it on one service but obviously I was mistaken...

I actually think it applies to Infinity customers only. So will wait until I can order that.

Thnking about it it must be as BT Sport for Youview is only delivered over IPTV which BT only do over infinity.

Did a Live Chat with BT earlier - the guy pointed me to the "bundle builder" which I could add TV through that. It got round the £35 home install option (So just the £35 activation to pay) but you had to pick out your phone/broadband stuff again.
Definitely going to wait until I can get infinity (Which should of been June!)

BT Sport SD is available via ADSL and Infinity Youview. BT Sport HD is only available via Infinity Youview.

Went through this, BT Sport SD available on ADSL as long as download is 6.4 or higher. Then found that ADSL Exchange has not been upgraded to have BT Sport on Youview.
Not available on exchange maybe why BT Sport is showing problem on sign up.. As was case with me.

Interesting, I had assumed BT Sport SD on Youview was unicast, and therefore not dependant on the exchange being "enabled".

No - it is multicast and so requires an upgraded exchange. Hence it's mainly for customers connected to an FTTC enabled exchange who, for whatever reason (distance, uneconomic cab) can't get an FTTC service. However there are some exchanges that have been upgraded that don't yet have an FTTC service/
Use the BT DSL checker and see if your exchange lists 'copper multicast' as a service.

Ah yeah, hadn't seen "Copper Multicast" before, it's been a long time since I used the BT Wholesale checker because I've had fibre available for some time now.
