Torrents Slow Today

Anyone else have this? Since 1pm today on BT Infinity, torrents are going slow, yo-yoing a lot, dropping lot of the time to <10kB/s. In bursts and at the start you can see it trying to go full rate, then it nose dives - much like throttled connections.

Normally, torrents fly at all times.

Everything is very well seeded, and the same torrents that were approaching 9MB/s this morning are now crawling. It's getting slightly better now over the past 10 mins, but still bad. I've rebooted modem and router, and swapped client machine.

Are you on a Totally Unlimited package or an Unlimited package?

Strange! No issues here on BT

It gradually resolved itself over the 30 mins following my post, and is now back to normal. Never seen this before, hopefully a one-off glitch...

(I am on a totally unlimited package).

Possibly a flying saucer overhead disrupting your electron flow with its levitation system .

All my torrent proxy sites are now banned,I'm not sure I made the right move in changing to BT as I hate internet censorship .

It's true that the govt pressures the larger ISP's such as BT, Sky and TT to censor sites, whereas smaller providers don't have to.

If you know (or can find) the IP addresses, why not just use them? AFAIK the blocking is just by DNS.
