I'm at end of contract and paying £16 for unlimited broadband.
Looking on uswitch they are offering unlimited for £5 a month on a 12 month contract. What are the chances of BT offering me the same deal to stay with them?
Anyone got any experience with BT on retentions

If a customer for some time and willing to recontract probably 3 to 5 pound per month

Any idea if they'd offer something similar to a current Infinity customer who wished to downgrade to standard ADSL?

Unlikely for someone downgrading I would suggest.

Thanks.
One factor in perhaps retaining Infinity for them is the possible arrangements for getting Champions League footie on BT Sport come next season - seems likely that BT will charge a premium for this, but potentially a smaller premium for Infinity customers. Of course the future pricing for this is all up in the air, and I guess won't become clear until maybe late next spring.

I've just renewed unlimited, free weeken calls for £10 on a 12 month contract. Think the £5 deal will only apply to switch customers but best of luck if you get it. I've always been happy with BT so am willing to pay a few pounds more to keep my email etc.

What deal did you eventually go for, out of interest?

Best they could do apparently was £6,75 on a new 12 months contract.
After looking around took up offer from sky for free unlimited for 12 months and also 35% of TV package for 12 months. So due to leave BT next week

A couple of months ago I got £4.35 off the 'standard' £13/month for 10GB ADSL 2+ service. I had been paying £13.83 after the Dec 2013 price rise so this reduction of £5.18. However, note that it is a 'discount' and will not increase when the scheduled price rise occurs.
