Hmm, seems the customer wants to vent then and not actively do anything to try and fix the situation. Seem to be suggestions in the previous thread that haven't been followed that could possibly have fixed or better pinpointed the issue. If the OP doesn't want to follow advice then little point in posting on here every 6 months complaining.

Re-reading the previous posts, what does:-

..BT will drop out, making me log back.........

....mean?

Sounds more like a PC/router issue.

Yep. He hasn't answered the first reply, which is the starter for any help we might be able to offer. Without an answer to my questions then there is nothing to discuss.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.4/14.5Mbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM

OK, @ braiswick:-

Are you using a wired connection or wireless?
What Operating System are you using?
Do you have Anti Virus software running, if so which?
What modem/router are you using?

I'm wired, and on WiFi = both affected.

Ipod or Windows 7

Avast antivirus (paid)

BT Modem 5

OK, explain "making me log back".

Does that re-instate the broadband connection? If so, what do you do?

So there is only one box between the socket and your computer? If so it is a Home Hub, which is a modem/router. Not a modem, but includes one, and the information available from pure modems and Home Hubs is considerably different. Which is important for us trying to help you.

Where is the Home Hub 5 plugged into - the master socket or an extension. Was it installed by an engineer, and if so was it an Openreach one or a contractor - Kelly's/Quinn's?

Is the Home Hub anywhere near anything like a TV, Digi-box (Freeserve) box, Sky box or anything? Do you have a Sky box?

Does it stay off all night at this time? Or does it come back on?

I had an engineer around a bit ago and he said that there was a woman who had a 75Mb line, she got full whack, but the moment it hit 8pm, it went down to 9mb. Turns out that someone close to her house had an appliance that was switched on around this time, which interfered with her broadband. Maybe it's a similar case here?
