Is BT Infinity 2 always an engineer installation?

I had thought that BT Infinity 2 was always given an engineer installation, as per the help section on BT's website:

But recently I read this:

Was the Digital Spy poster some how mistaken, or is it true that BT Infinity 2 is now sometimes a self install, and BT's website is out of date?

It is now self-install if your estimate is high.

Odd, mine is 80/20 and they are sending an ingeneer to install.

I believe the only reason for engineer visit is to replace the faceplate - as that is all that happened on mine. This was something BT insisted on, as the Kellys engineer didn't do this for any other supplier.
