It confirms the estimate you were given, which BT presumably access from a master database rather than the public one.

Are you still getting the low sync, and if so how long since you tried a re-sync?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 57.2/15.0Mbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM

Unless you live in the Robotics Laboratory, the residential postcodes I know about are all at the 0.7m distance from the cabinet

To get speeds of 50 to 80 Mbps you need to be within around 400m of the cabinet or better.

Ok thats fine but why then have BT asked me to get the detail I just posted? I'm not sure exactly what it is telling me. Is that the data they used to give me my speed estimate?

And what happens if the speed estimate they gave me when I went through the order process is absolutely way off?

Everyone else on my estate is at around 30-35 from cabinet 14 so I am happy with the speed I am getting, I just don't see why I should pay for the higher speed bracket when clearly I cannot get it.

I wonder if a conventional master is incompatible for FTTC purposes with an external NTE? Perhaps the socket he is using should simply have been left as was, and a dangly filter used?

Ok so clearly their estimates are way off?

My sync is varying between 33 and 35 and I think it has resynced twice since last Thursday.

I assume they all have external NTEs? See my post to Andrew.
