No Free BT Sport with Broadband!

BT TV is not available on my line (probably because it is only 512k) however it seems I can only get BT Sport for free if I have BT TV! Used to get BT Sport for free through my sky box, with broadband, but it seems BT is rubbing salt into the wounds of those on long lines and will almost certainly never get Fibre.

Your other option is to get a BT mobile.

Doesnt that only include the bt sport app?

Correct BT Sport on Sky is now £5 per month for BT customers.

You do get the Sport Lite pack for free but again via app/web player.

Maybe a chrome cast and cast the stream to the TV from the phone.

It seems bt sport lite doesn't include bt sport 2 : ( I've tried streaming tv to my Apple TV from my iPhone in the past including Netflix, and the quality is abysmal if it even works on a 0.5mb narrowband connection : ( Think it's time that the 65 year old phone account is closed as I'm sick of paying BT for a line that hasn't been upgraded since the 70's when it was buried underground :/ 4G seems to be the only way to get decent broadband and I can live without BT sport tbh!

BT Broadband customers can get BT Sport Lite over their sky box free. This is BTSport 1. If you want the other BTSport channels then it's £5 per month. The cost of sport on tv seems to be escalating fast. If Netflix and Amazon join in the bidding I guess it will go even higher
