My daughter ... now on BT1 around 55/20 contractual;
A special deal?

Could that be the router sync speeds? is it 52mbps down and up to 20 up? Or is it 10 or something up?

Infinity 1 is Openreach 55/10. Infinity 2 is Openreach 80/20. Adjusted down a fraction in each case of course for retail advertising.

Not absolutely sure.

I am not directly privy to her contracts (or of the various BT offerings); and just trying to extract information from the HH5, do speed tests etc, in spare moments during sorting out deliveries for house extension.

There is also other equipment on the phone line and/or the router to handle call-outs etc, that I am not sufficiently aware of its functions and possible impacts.

But I have not been impressed by the general performance at any time.

Ok so after being on the phone to them they got me back on to infinity 2 with a deal so it works out a few pence extra.. And just like magic speeds increased to 54meg out of a max of 54 Meg

Looks likely then that Infinity 2 they opt for fastest DLM settings, but Infinity 1 opts for most stable.
