BT status hertfordshire

I switched to BT BB Infinity last July and since then I've experienced a few connection reliability issues, not previously experienced with other ISPs. I was with Plusnet and it was quite stable.

The router says I'm connected, but no websites are available. Perhaps a DNS issue?

I realise there could be a wide range of issues, but this just gets annoying. The status checker says all ok (as it did last time when DNS broke). Anyone else having issues?

When its working make a note of a sites IP address and when you hit the none working, try pinging the IP address (after previously checking it replies to pings) if that is working you have connectivity and a DNS issue is most likely.

Also is this over Wi-Fi or Ethernet?

I have multiple PCs/Mac/iPad/iPhones, some site working, some not.

Speedtest reporting 73.81 / 18.73mbs, 9ms ping speedtest

but sites very slow to respond or timing out completely, e.g. bbc.co.uk. Very weird.

Now seems to have started working again.
