Speed increase?

Afternoon. I�ve just done a Speedtest and been surprised to see that I was getting 56.5 Mbps down and 16.1 Mbps up. My surprise was due to me being on a BT Infinity 55/10 sync where my max download should be up to 52 Mbps and upload up to 10 Mbps so I believe. I�ve just been on my BT Smart Hub Manager webpage and seen that my downstream sync is at 60.20 Mbps and upstream sync is at 16.77 Mbps.
Are BT giving more speed to people as a freebie, or is just a glitch? It has just happened recently as the Network uptime is currently 21 hours 4 minutes and System uptime says 2 days 11 hours 48 minutes although the router has not been switched off at all.

Ookla speedtest app on my iPad via WiFi.

Hi Dave,

I see you've said that the Hub's downstream sync is x and x, but please can you post the full line stats, just to make sure? If the line rate is showing values higher than 55 Mb DS and/or higher than 10 Mb US, then you're not on the 55/10 package.

I recently got the following result from the BT Speedtest

Download speedachieved during the test was - 90.73 Mbps
 For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 40 Mbps-74.1 Mbps .

Here go William, I�m definitely only on BT Infinity 1 up to 52 Mbps. I did just notice though my noise margins are a lot lower than the last time I looked. Nothing has change in my house, I wonder if anything has changed at the cabinet or exchange.

Not a problem. What does your IP Profile say you're on? (Look at the upstream)
