I got quite excited last week when civils teams arrived and started adding gfast pods to the cabs around my area (Headington OX3). The cab i'm connected to had all the other services marked out with paint, I get home and all of the local ones have been completed with the pods on the side apart from mine which has just been re-shelled. Looks like i'm back to saving my pennies for FTTPod - desktop quote £11300 200-300m.

Maybe it needed re-shelling, (larger?), to cater for adding a G.Fast pod in the near future.

I guess that's always a possibility, but what I failed to mention is that all the other cabs were re-shelled as well.

Probably not unfortunately its right at the 300m mark from us without allowing for road crossings.

You have got no chance at 300 meters even if they installed Gfast on your cab..

I don't need to make my mind up. My first post said all the cabs except mine were upgraded. I was then asked how far the cab with graft would be, which is 300m, but my one is much closer.

I apologise, i have now reread the post on a decent sized screen and see that i was indeed asked for the distance if my cab was upgraded.

Sounds highly likely you would benefit if your cab was upgraded with a G.fast pod , lets hope it is
